REAL Restart was founded because freedom from addiction requires more than temporary fixes — it demands a complete restoration of heart, mind, and life through the power of God.
REAL Restart was born from a divine echo — two men, decades apart, carrying the same God-given vision. Years before they reconnected, both Jody and Eric had felt called to create something more than a rehab. They envisioned a movement — a place where men could not only get clean, but truly get free. A place where transformation meant more than sobriety… it meant life skills, work skills, purpose, and a restored ability to dream.
After 20 plus years without contact, Jody and Eric sat down over coffee and quickly realized they’d been carrying the same blueprint in their hearts. That moment was no coincidence — it was confirmation. Two former outlaws with a shared past and a redeemed future chose to ride again — not to tear things down, but to build something that would outlive them both. REAL Restart isn’t just a program. It’s a path. It’s a brotherhood. And it’s proof that God still writes comeback stories.

From that spiritual foundation, participants enter into structured work therapy on our working ranch — developing discipline, integrity, and a renewed sense of purpose through simple living and daily responsibility.
As men grow stronger in faith and character, they progress into skills training, trades education, entrepreneurial development, and career pathing — equipping them to achieve financial independence, restore their families, and become contributing leaders in their communities.

More than just a place to get clean, it’s a launching ground — where men break free from addiction and dysfunction, discover their God-given identity, and are equipped with the skills, mindset, and support to return to the world as leaders, providers, and men of impact.
In the next 1–3 years, we aim to turn vision into reality by laying the foundation for the REAL Restart Recovery Ranch.
These early steps will set the stage for building a full-scale residential ranch where men can break free from addiction, restore their purpose, and re-enter the world ready to thrive.
